We aim to deliver a professional service to our clients. To ensure a seamless commitment to providing a unique and outstanding experience to all our clients, and out of respect for the time of our therapists, we have adopted the following policies and procedures that serve as a guide for both first-time and regular customers to Heart of Mervin.
Arrival
Please arrive 10 minutes before the scheduled start time. This allows you to enjoy a relaxed and stress-relieving experience. If late arrival is unavoidable, your services will be shortened to accommodate our schedule. No full or partial refund will be granted.
Cancellation/Change Policy
Clients must give at least 24 hours’ notice if they wish to reschedule, cancel or change their booking in any way. Cancellations or reservation changes notified less than 24 hours in advance will incur a full charge. No refunds will be given for deposits.
Late Arrival
The late arrivals will not be allowed an extension of the booked time. In certain exceptional cases and when our schedule allows, we can accommodate part or all of the booked time. This is done at our discretion and only with reasonable notice of your late arrival. The regular amount that applies to the ordered services will be charged regardless.
No Show Policy
Clients who do not show up for their booked appointment will be charged in full according to the treatment booked.
Payment
Payment must be made immediately after completion of the treatment. We offer payment with both Swish and cash. For returning customers, we can provide invoices.
For international online service, payment is made by bank transfer.
Respect For The Customer’s Needs And Boundaries
We are happy to adjust the treatment according to the customer’s wishes. The client has the right to decline treatment methods, discontinue treatment, and is free to leave the clinic at any time. All clients are entitled to have a chaperone present at any consultation, examination or procedure. If you would like to bring a chaperone, please notify us in advance of the meeting.
Inappropriate requests
Any requests for sexual activity and/or sexual services will not be tolerated; they will be considered a solicitation and reported to the police. Should this occur, the client will not be welcome back. The client typically keeps all the clothes on throughout the treatment. If needed for treatment, the therapist will eventually ask the client to remove a garment for a shorter period. The client will always wear the undergarments under any circumstances. The breasts and genital areas will not be touched under any circumstances. A professional distance is kept from these areas. Sexual interaction or discussion in any form is never appropriate. If this is not followed, the therapist has the right to discontinue the treatment.
Confidentiality And Conversation
The discussion between the therapist and the client is confidential. We are happy to listen to your thoughts and are pleased to share our professional expertise. We do not discuss or comment on anything from other treatments, even if two clients are closely related. Heart of Mervin values your privacy and takes the protection of your information very seriously. We comply with applicable data protection laws and regulations, including the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Existing And New Medical Conditions
It is the client’s responsibility to keep the therapist informed of ongoing medical treatments that may be affected. The client must also inform the therapist of any changes in health conditions during treatment.
Treatment policy
We do not treat diseases or work according to the model of treating specific symptoms (called different kinds of diseases), but see the person as an integrated whole of body, soul and spirit, where each part affects the others. In the work, we take into account spiritual dimensions of human existence, which may include a belief in reincarnation and karma.
Thus, we look at and treat the client’s problems as an expression of imbalance in the whole person and their life, not just as a deviation from the normal biological state. In any case, if you have a specific belief, please let us know in advance so that the therapist does not inadvertently provide a treatment that contradicts it.
Moreover, complementary medicine and therapy does not replace ordinary medical care, and we reserve the right to refuse treatment if there is a suspicion that this service may impair the client’s general condition.
If you have any questions about the above information, please get in touch with us at Heart of Mervin.
