How Mentoring Can Support Your Work & Wellbeing
When your work asks you to be present for others, it helps to have somewhere you can bring your own questions. You may be finding your feet, meeting a challenge or looking for fresh inspiration after many years of practice.
I offer mentoring for Eurythmy teachers, Kinesiology practitioners and Emotions & Metaphysical Kinesiology students. Together, we make space for the practical details of your work and for you as the person doing it. My aim is to help you find clearer choices, renewed interest and steps you can carry into everyday practice.

What mentoring can offer
Mentoring can support a new beginning, a period of change or the wish to deepen work you already love. There is room to build on what is going well as well as talk through a difficulty.
A fresh view of a familiar question
Talking through a situation can help you separate what happened, how you understood it and what you might try next.
Confidence grounded in practice
We recognise what you already do well, revisit uncertain areas and make room to practise, ask questions and receive specific feedback.
A more sustainable working rhythm
Your preparation time, workload, boundaries and opportunities for rest belong in the conversation alongside professional skills.
Inspiration and a sense of connection
Sharing your work with an experienced colleague can bring new ideas and ease the feeling of having to work everything out alone.
For Eurythmy teachers: bringing the lesson to life
A lesson plan becomes something different when a real group enters the room. We can explore the relationship between your artistic intention, the age and needs of the pupils, and what you observe in their responses. The aim is to help you make considered choices while developing your own teaching voice.
We may work with the opening and ending of a lesson, transitions between activities, spatial forms, music, speech or the balance between repetition and something new. There is also room to consider a longer sequence across the term, collaboration with a musician and how to communicate the purpose of the work to colleagues or parents.
You are welcome to bring material you would like to develop. We can explore and adapt it together, and some teaching materials are included in the coaching. When classroom support is arranged, we agree beforehand on the purpose of observation, feedback and any sharing with the school.
For Kinesiology practitioners and Emotions & Metaphysical Kinesiology students
Mentoring helps you connect what you have learned with the experience of working with another person. We can revisit a technique, practise the structure of a balance or look carefully at a moment where you felt unsure how to proceed.
We also give attention to how you listen and communicate: explaining a session, checking consent and recognising when another professional’s support is needed. There is time to find language that feels clear and natural to you.
If you are considering your next stage, we can reflect on your strengths, learning priorities and the kind of practice you want to develop. Ordinary mentoring does not itself confer a qualification or recertification; where a formal Emotions & Metaphysical Kinesiology assessment is needed, we arrange that separately.
Caring for the person behind the work
It is possible to care deeply about your pupils or clients while finding the work tiring. In mentoring, there is room to speak honestly about this. We can look at what is sustaining you, what is taking more than you can comfortably give and where practical support is needed.
Perhaps preparation takes over your evenings, sessions regularly run over time or there is little room for your own artistic practice. These everyday pressures deserve attention, alongside the skills you are developing.
We can explore boundaries, a workable rhythm of preparation and rest, and ways to ask for support. Inner reflection has a place here, but so do the actual conditions of your work. Mentoring cannot solve an unreasonable workload on its own, and significant distress may need additional professional care.
What this might look like in practice
These examples show the kinds of questions we could work on together. They are illustrations, not accounts of individual clients or promised results.
A lesson that loses its rhythm
Imagine a class becoming unsettled whenever one activity ends. We could look at the transition, the space, the instruction and the pupils’ readiness, then develop one small change to try. At our next meeting, we reflect on what you noticed.
A balance that feels difficult to organise
An Emotions & Metaphysical Kinesiology student may know the individual techniques but feel uncertain about bringing them together. We can walk through the sequence, practise explaining each stage and identify the point that needs more rehearsal or clarification.
Preparation that leaves little room to breathe
A teacher may be spending many hours searching for fresh material. We could review the purpose of the next lessons, adapt an existing piece together and consider a more manageable preparation routine, with room for their own artistic renewal.
Finding words and professional boundaries
A practitioner may feel unsure how to respond when asked for a diagnosis or a guaranteed result. We can rehearse a warm, clear explanation of the scope of the work and a respectful way to suggest appropriate healthcare support.
A conversation that leads into practice
Bring one question, situation or piece of work that matters to you. We agree on a focus, then move between conversation, demonstration and practice. My feedback is specific and respectful, recognising your strengths as well as what you want to develop.
We finish with a few practical steps to try between meetings. At a follow-up, we look at what helped and what needs adjusting. The aim is to support your own professional judgement and independence.
Please keep pupil and client examples anonymous. If a school or organisation is involved, we clarify what may be shared and with whom. This helps create a clear, respectful foundation for the work.
Begin with what matters to you
