Eurythmy Workshops
An eight-week course in soul-filled movement
Discover the joy of moving with live music and spoken poetry. In a welcoming group on Orust, we explore Eurythmy as an artistic and social practice—making room for expression, presence and connection.
Eight weekly sessions · 90 minutes · 800 kr · Ages 16+

A place to begin, just as you are
Perhaps you love music or poetry and would like to experience it through movement. Perhaps you long for a creative activity with others, or a little more freedom to express what you feel inwardly.
Complete beginners are welcome. You do not need experience in dance, music or Eurythmy. We take our time, enjoy ourselves and explore what each person can do.
Through shared movement, we practise listening, noticing the space around us and finding our place in the group. There is room to become more present and confident, and to discover a quiet connection with others that does not always need words.
The course is open to anyone aged 16 and above and is taught in Swedish.

An art of qualities
What is Eurythmy?
Eurythmy is an art of movement that gives visible expression to speech and music. Through gestures and movement in space, we explore the qualities of sounds, rhythms and musical phrases.
Just as a painter works with colour, we work with qualities in movement. A colour such as red can suggest warmth, strength or intensity; we can explore how such a quality lives in a gesture. A melody or poem becomes something we experience with our whole selves.
In speech Eurythmy, we discover qualities in the sounds and rhythms of language. In tone Eurythmy, we explore musical qualities through movement. Both belong to every session.
Our weekly rhythm
Arrive, explore and create together
Finding our way into movement
We begin with simple movements to arrive, ground ourselves and reconnect as a group. Before the artistic work begins, we take time to find ourselves in the shared space.
I speak the poetry while you move, guiding you into the qualities of language and sound. Our musical work is accompanied by live music, primarily played on my flute.
A piece that grows with us
I choose the poems and music for each eight-week course. We begin simply and deepen our exploration week by week, combining guidance, personal discovery and creating together.
We might explore contrasting qualities within a musical piece, practise them separately, then bring them together into a shared artistic whole. Themes and pieces vary from course to course.
At the final session, we may share what we have created with friends we know. We decide this together as a group; sharing is optional. There is no expectation to perform.
Your teacher
A warm space for discovery
What I love about Eurythmy is the soul in movement: the happiness of entering into a quality, expressing something inwardly felt and connecting with the world and with one another.
I bring 25 years of experience in Eurythmy teaching and therapeutic work. My approach is patient, warm and playful. We take our time and find our way together.
You do not have to get every movement right. A quality can shine through a simple gesture, even when coordination is still developing. You are free to work within your own possibilities.

Beyond our sessions
Your own space to revisit and explore
Your course includes one year of access to My Learning Space, beginning when the course starts. As our work develops, I gradually add music and music links, notes from our sessions, and short demonstration films where helpful for particular movements or exercises.
The material is there for your own enjoyment and exploration. There is no required practice between sessions.
