How Nutrition & Herbal Support May Help You
It can be difficult to find your way among all the advice about food, vitamins and herbs. Perhaps you already use a few products, have questions about your everyday wellbeing or would simply like time to look at the whole picture with someone.
In a Nutrition & Herbal Check-Up, we begin with your experience. I bring together conversation and several Kinesiology approaches, including the Lebowitz Method, to explore your questions. My wish is for you to leave feeling heard, better informed and clearer about a manageable next step.

What a nutrition consultation can offer
We take time to understand what you are already doing and what matters most now. The value of that conversation is separate from any effect a supplement or herb may have.
Time to bring the pieces together
We look at your routines, questions and the products you already use, with room to explain what has and has not felt helpful.
A clearer understanding of your options
We discuss the difference between food, nutritional supplements and herbal preparations, and what a suggested choice is intended to offer.
A more manageable approach
Together, we consider a small next step that fits your circumstances. You do not need to leave with a long list of products or changes.
Useful questions for your wider care
The conversation may help you identify what to ask your doctor, pharmacist or dietitian, including whether a symptom, ingredient or possible deficiency needs further assessment.
What would you like to explore?
You can bring questions without having a particular product in mind. The themes below help us begin a conversation; they are not conditions this consultation can treat.
Finding a nourishing everyday rhythm
When days are busy, meals, rest and time for yourself can become irregular. We can reflect on what is realistic in your life and choose a gentle starting point. Food remains the foundation; supplements cannot replace a varied diet.
Questions about energy and recovery
You may have noticed that your energy feels different or that you need more time to recover from demanding days. We can discuss your routines and questions without assuming a missing nutrient is the cause. Persistent or unexplained fatigue deserves medical assessment.
Digestive comfort and food concerns
You are welcome to talk about what you notice around meals and how this affects daily life. A few observations can help clarify the conversation with your healthcare professional. Kinesiology responses do not establish food allergies or intolerances, and I do not use them as a reason to remove whole food groups.
Making sense of the supplements you use
Bring your products or photographs of their labels. We can look at ingredients, amounts and your reasons for taking them, including whether the same nutrient appears in several products. This helps us prepare sensible questions about what is useful and suitable for you.
Exploring herbs thoughtfully
Perhaps you feel drawn to medicinal plants but are unsure where to begin. We can discuss the plant, the preparation and its intended use, bringing traditional knowledge into conversation with available research and your own circumstances.
Reviewing what happens over time
If you choose a next step, we agree on what you will observe and when to review it. Your experience between appointments matters, including when nothing changes or something does not suit you. We can then reconsider the approach together.
Understanding the Kinesiology part
The Lebowitz Method was developed within applied Kinesiology and uses structured muscle testing in the exploration of nutritional and herbal options. I use it alongside other Kinesiology techniques and modalities, with your history and everyday experience forming part of the conversation.
With gentle pressure, I observe an indicator muscle’s response to a particular input. In energetic specialised Kinesiology, some responses are interpreted as stress; we then explore what changes that response towards what this approach describes as balance. This interpretation relates to the testing situation.
If vitamin D comes up, for example, it does not necessarily mean that you lack vitamin D. The muscle response may suggest a possible avenue to explore within this framework, but it does not measure your vitamin D level or prove that taking it will help. When assessment is needed, your healthcare professional can decide whether a blood test or other investigation is appropriate.
Getting to know the plants and preparations
Herbal traditions pay attention to a plant’s taste, aroma and qualities: the warmth associated with ginger, for example, or the fresh sensation of mint. I value this attentive relationship with plants. Personal sensations and traditional descriptions can enrich our conversation, while clinical research helps answer different questions about benefits and risks.
A tea, a whole-herb powder and a concentrated extract can contain very different amounts of a plant’s constituents. Research on one does not automatically apply to another. For example, findings about enteric-coated peppermint oil capsules for some IBS symptoms cannot be assumed to apply to peppermint tea; peppermint oil can also cause heartburn. We therefore consider the actual preparation and your circumstances.
Choosing with care
Where supplements are appropriate, they may help meet a particular nutritional need. Their usefulness depends on the person, the reason for use and the product. More is not always better, and a reassuring muscle response cannot establish a product’s safety, the dose you need or whether it will work.
Please tell me about medicines, allergies, health conditions and any pregnancy or breastfeeding. Herbs and supplements can interact with medicines. Your doctor or pharmacist can help check suitability before you begin, and prescribed treatment should not be changed on the basis of our testing. Muscle testing is not a validated way to diagnose nutritional deficiencies, allergies, infections or disease.
A personal next step
Before we finish, we gather the next steps: perhaps a question for your healthcare professional, something to observe at home or a product to consider once its suitability has been checked. You have time to ask questions and decide what feels right for you.
For the supplements and herbs that come up during your Kinesiology testing, I offer 20% off the recommended retail price when you order directly through me in connection with your treatment. You are welcome to take time to consider a suggestion; there is no expectation to buy.
You are welcome to begin with a conversation
